A GPS tracker is not a fleet operating system
Why dots on a map leave dispatchers blind to trip context, exception ownership, and maintenance obligations.
Loketi Operations Team · Fleet Management Principles
Loketi is building one operational system for vehicles, trips, and route exceptions—connected to the hardware in the field and designed for the realities of East African transport.
Start with the fleet and hardware you already have.
THE CURRENT STACK
A route update in WhatsApp. A service date in a spreadsheet. An incident explained on a call. A month-end report rebuilt by hand. Each tool holds one part of the operation. Nobody sees the whole decision in time.
HOW IT WORKS
The four stages of converting raw telematics pings into verified operational decisions.
Connect the vehicle and the field hardware that supplies its operating signal. Confirm device health, identity, and vehicle assignment.
Supported telematics units and CAN sensors in active pilot testing.
Bring vehicle, trip, driver, and route context into one operating view. Know what is current and what is stale.
Live dispatch overview, trip timeline, and connectivity freshness indicators.
Turn deviations, delays, unsafe events, and service needs into an explicit action with an owner and record.
Exception routing, alert escalation, and resolution tracking workflow.
Use operating history to understand repeated route, vehicle, and workflow problems—not just where a vehicle was.
Corridor intelligence, delay trend aggregation, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
Move past scattered status checks. Loketi provides dispatchers and fleet managers with an integrated roster of vehicle readiness, assigned drivers, active trip milestones, and overdue service actions.
Scope: Evaluated with pilot transport fleets in Tanzania running commercial haulage routes.

East African corridors feature border bottlenecks, weighbridges, unpaved stretches, and unexpected diversions. Loketi learns from repeated trip events to detect deviations and delays before they compound into missed customer deadlines.
Scope: Focused on major Tanzanian and regional transit corridors (Dar es Salaam – Dodoma, Morogoro, Mbeya, Tunduma).

Software is only as dependable as the signal it receives. Loketi works with proven GPS and telematics units, rigorously verifying harness wiring, power stability, battery health, and protocol compatibility.
Scope: Supports standard 2G/4G telematics units, OBD/CAN interfaces, and analog fuel sensor integration.

Rather than adding decorative AI badges, Loketi focuses on high-friction operational tasks: parsing paper waybills and fuel receipts from field photos, answering natural-language fleet queries, and routing urgent exception digests into WhatsApp.
Scope: Directional capability; experimental pilots require human-in-the-loop review of all extracted documents.
INPUT: Waybill / POD Photo
→ Extracting: Container ID, Consignee, Weight, Origin
OUTPUT: Verified Trip Record
→ Human-in-the-loop validation required before ledger entry
Loketi does not deploy unverified autonomous decisions. Critical fleet transitions always require explicit operator confirmation.
WHO IT IS FOR
Commercial freight operators, long-haul hauliers, and regional carriers in Tanzania managing 10 to 150+ commercial vehicles. If your team coordinates trips across WhatsApp, checks multiple tracker screens, and builds month-end reports by hand, Loketi provides the operational clarity you need.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Clear answers on current platform scope, compatibility, and pilot evaluation.
GPS tracking is one input. Loketi is being built as an operations system that connects vehicle data with trips, routes, alerts, and the people responsible for action.
Compatibility depends on the device, protocol, and data access. Share the device model and current provider during the fleet assessment; we will confirm what can be reused before proposing replacement hardware.
Loketi is under active development. We are defining bounded pilots with selected transport teams and will state clearly which workflows are available in each pilot.
We review fleet size, vehicle types, routes, current tracking and dispatch tools, the most expensive recurring problem, and the smallest pilot that can be measured.
